For The Children (and the Adults who care for them)

At Cocahq N’pisun, we believe that healing isn’t only for grown ups. Our children carry both the weight of our histories, and the hope of our futures. They deserve stories that tell the truth with tenderness.

These books were born from questions my own children asked. From bedtime talks about land, justice, and what it means to belong. From the ache of not seeing our truths in the stories lining school bookshelves.

Out of true Indigenous Resilience and Resistance, we saw a place for us to take jurisdiction, we wrote our own.

These stories are part of the same work we do with communities. Restoring sacred connection, teaching relational accountability, and remembering who we were before colonial systems told us otherwise. Whether we’re working with front-line workers, Elders, or tiny hands holding picture books, the medicine is the same.

We offer these books as tools for families, educators, and helpers who are raising children with courage, culture, and care.
